Types of Braces

GoaLine Orthodontics offers comprehensive orthodontic treatment options to fit your needs, goals, and lifestyle, all of which utilize advanced digital technology for the best results.

For patients who choose traditional, clear, or gold braces, GoaLine Orthodontics uses high-tech digital indirect bonding for ideal bracket placement and optimized tooth movement. Clear aligner patients also benefit from digital technology, as our intraoral scanner takes impressions for ideal aligner fit.

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces consist of silver-colored brackets that use colored elastics to hold the wire in place. Colors can be changed every time you come in, so you can have a little fun and show off your personality! Traditional braces are also the most economical treatment option.

Clear Braces

Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, ceramic braces are used mainly on older teenagers and adult patients who have cosmetic concerns. While they are visually less prominent, they do require more attention to oral hygiene as ceramic braces are larger and are more brittle than metal braces.

ICONIX® Aesthetic Braces

Iconix brackets have the durability of stainless steel with aesthetics that are equal to ceramic brackets. Iconix features a small, smooth design, combined with a champagne finish that blend with the color of your teeth, allowing you to feel proud to show off your smile even while you’re teeth are being straightened.

The champagne-colored brackets appear more subtle against the natural color of your teeth, and the low profile, contoured design of each bracket maximizes comfort.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are clear, smooth, plastic “retainers” that gently and gradually straighten your teeth. They are removable, so things like brushing, flossing, and eating are much easier. You’ll also visit our Frisco orthodontic office less often—only every eight to 12 weeks on average. Clear aligners are great for patients who are very motivated and don’t want to have metal in their mouth or appear that they have braces.

brius lingual braces

Lingual Braces

BRIUS brackets are placed behind the teeth, so as not to be seen from the outside when you smile. They are ideal for a patient who does not want visible or removable appliances. The wire is 3D printed and customized for each individual tooth. Many patients report shorter treatment times as opposed to traditional braces.
